What is SIP? SIP trunking or SIP lines is a great alternative to the ISDN phones lines traditionally used by businesses. It works by transferring your voice communications electronically over fibre optic cables improving call quality and reliability.

West Pier Business Broadband and MPLS

West Pier's business broadband offering consists of both ADSL2+ and Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC).

ADLS2+ is an International Telecommunication Union standard for asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) business broadband internet access. It is reliable and fast with a maximum download speed of 24 Mbit/s. It can be provided simultaneously when ordering a new phone line.

`Fibre to the cabinet` (FTTC) is a super-fast connection that is generally easier and cheaper to install than its `fibre to the premises` counterpart (FTTP). It consists of fibre optic cable being laid between a business` local internet exchange and the street cabinet which supports it.

West Pier Leased Lines

Leased lines provide a business with its own dedicated private circuit with guaranteed connectivity. It is a great solution for larger organisations and provides a direct link between multiple locations. They are perfect for businesses that require speeds of between 10mbps and 1gbps and the best SLAs.

West Pier Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM)

Ethernet in the First Mile is a cost effective leased line. It uses twinned copper circuits consisting of either 2 copper pairs (up to 10Mbps) or 4 pairs (up to 20Mbps), with a minimum symmetrical speed guarantee of 2Mbps. You don`t share the bandwidth with anyone else and upload and download speeds are the same.
